With a PACS provided by British Telecom (BT) under the terms of the NHS Connecting for Health Programme, the Trust recently tendered for replacement of their existing PACS services via the NHS Supply Chain. After an extensive evaluation process the Trust awarded preferred bidder status to Carestream and subsequently signed a seven year contract with the company, with the option to extend for a further two years. The CARESTREAM PACS will be provided as a Managed Service, including software, services and hardware and will be integrated within the hospital’s existing RIS system.
