ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 26 — St. Croix Regional Medical Center (St. Croix Falls, Wis.,) ordered CARESTREAM Vue RIS+PACS+Reporting to streamline access to information and images for on-site and off-site physicians. St. Croix Regional Medical Center operates an urgent care center and five clinics in St. Croix Falls and surrounding communities.
Carestream’s Web-based Vue RIS automates the imaging process from order entry to results distribution, which can reduce errors and improve patient care. Embedded voice recognition can facilitate easier, faster reporting from any location. Carestream's RIS is certified as an EMR module and is one of the first standalone RIS platforms to satisfy Stage 1 meaningful use requirements. The viewer has FDA clearance for use with Apple iPads and requires no local installation or software downloads. It is accessible from almost any Web-enabled device and is able to display DICOM or non-DICOM data stored in PACS or archives from Carestream or other vendors.
