Special Guest Radiologist For ECR

Imaging Specialist, Dr Frank, Will Be Carestream Health’s Special Guest At Its Booth On Sunday, March 4th, From 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

GENEVA, Switz., January, 25 2012 —Since 1990, Dr Frank has been leading his own radiology practice. Passionate about imaging, he made an early move to digital equipment and was the second doctor in Germany to invest in a dual slice CT Scanner. Since then he has been working with dental surgeons and implantologists, with a high interest in Dental imaging. In April 2011, he was the first radiologist to purchase Carestream’s new cone beam CT solution, CS9300.

Carestream has worked closely with Dr. Frank since then on product development and improvements. Carestream is pleased to welcome Dr. Frank as a product expert to its booth at ECR where he will be able to answer any questions or concerns about the use and integration of a Dental and ENT Cone Beam CT unit into any radiologist practice/department workflow. More information about him and his practice can be found on the following website (German): http://www.radiologie-friedrichpassage.de

At Radiologie Friedrichpassage, every dental scan, inner ear and sinus image, is now processed on CS9300. “Now I can see pathology I could not see on CT: dental fractures, inner ear pathologies, inflammatory changes in the tooth apex,” said Dr Frank. “My referent colleagues, dentists, ENT practitioners and implantologists, are delighted with the quality that we deliver. As radiologists, we are actually a service provider, providing images to referent practitioners, so we need images to convince not only ourselves, but our referring colleagues as well. And so far the feedback on CS9300 is extremely satisfactory, from both the dental and the ENT side.”

Entering the market at a lower cost than a conventional CT unit, the CS 9300 is an affordable way for radiology facilities to expand their ENT and dental services and increase productivity. The system can be used for a variety of ENT and dental applications – including sinus and temporal bone; maxillofacial; dental implantology; oral surgery; orthodontics; periodontics; and endodontics. The CS 9300 also offers a cost-effective way to offload ENT and dental CT exams from capacity-constrained, conventional CT units.
