Robert V. Baumgartner, CEO Of Center For Diagnostic Imaging, Joins Carestream Health’s Board Of Directors

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Nov. 2 — Robert “Bob” V. Baumgartner, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Center for Diagnostic Imaging, Inc., recently joined the Board of Directors of Carestream Health, Inc., and was elected to the Board’s Audit & Compliance Committee.

Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), based in Minneapolis, Minn., is a national network of freestanding medical imaging centers that offers a full range of diagnostic imaging, diagnostic and therapeutic injections and interventional radiology services.

Prior to joining CDI in 2001, Baumgartner served in a range of executive positions, including CEO and Director of American Coating International; President and CEO of First Solar; and President of Apogee Auto Glass Group.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Baumgartner serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Quality Imaging (AQI), a national organization that advocates for standards to assure appropriate utilization in medical imaging.  He served as Chairman of AQI’s Board from 2007-2008. Baumgartner also serves on the Board of Directors for Techne, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of biotechnology products.

Dooley, former President of The Procter & Gamble Company’s Duracell business and Gillette North America operations; Robert M. Haft, Chairman, MainStreet Lender, a direct national commercial lender; Kevin J. Hobert, Carestream Health’s CEO; James T. Kelly, a private investor, who previously served as President and CEO of Lincare Holdings Inc., a provider of in-home respiratory care, infusion therapy and medical equipment;  Eliot L. Siegel, M.D., Professor and Vice Chair, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, and Chief of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine for the Veterans Affairs Maryland Healthcare System; and Michael L. Smith, former Executive Vice President and CFO for Anthem, Inc., and its subsidiaries, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
