Jalisco Quality Award Presented to Carestream Health’s Guadalajara Facility

ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 1 — Carestream Health, Inc.’s business operations in Guadalajara, Mexico, have been honored with the prestigious Jalisco Quality Award—the highest level of recognition granted by Mexico’s State Government for continuous improvement and quality processes. It is often compared to the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in the United States.

This prestigious award is the culmination of a rigorous yearlong process in which the company’s Guadalajara-based business practices were intensely reviewed against demanding standards. Criteria for the award include competitiveness, leadership, strategic alliances, business results and sustainability.

“This is fantastic recognition for the great people in our Guadalajara facility, who have committed to a culture of continuous improvement,” said Ralph Olney, Chief Quality Officer, Carestream Health. “What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable is that we are one of only two companies in the last 10 years to receive this award in the first year of submission.”

Carestream Health’s Guadalajara facility includes manufacturing and customer service operations.
