Carestream Health Announces Latest Orders for Its Medical Digital Imaging Systems

ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 22 — Carestream Health, Inc., announced new orders from U.S. healthcare facilities for its portfolio of digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) imaging systems that provide direct digital capture of medical x-ray exams.

Some facilities also purchased KODAK DRYVIEW Laser Imagers that provide high-speed, high-resolution image output for general radiography and digital mammography applications. The following healthcare providers are among those that have placed orders:

  • Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mountain Home, Ark., ordered a KODAK DIRECTVIEW Elite CR System and KODAK DRYVIEW 5800 Laser Imager.
  • Golden Plains Community Hospital, Borger, Texas, ordered a KODAK DIRECTVIEW Elite CR System through authorized distributor Southwest X-Ray.
  • Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Bronx, N.Y., ordered four KODAK DIRECTVIEW CR 975 Systems.
  • Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, N.Y., ordered a dual-detector KODAK
DIRECTVIEW DR 7500 system and a CR 975.
  • Springfield Clinic, Taylorville, Ill. ordered a DR 7500, Elite CR system, DRYVIEW 6800 imager and a DR Long-Length Imaging System.

Carestream Health offers one of the broadest product lines of digital radiography systems in the industry. It recently introduced the industry’s first wireless, cassette-size DR detector, the CARESTREAM DRX-1 System. Since this new detector can be employed in nearly all applications where a 14 x 17 inch (35 x 43 cm) x-ray cassette would be used, it offers an affordable, smooth transition to DR technology for many imaging environments. The company’s portfolio also features DR 9500, DR 7500 and DR 3000 platforms. The DR 9500 System has a ceiling-mounted U-arm that contains both a tube and detector to deliver unprecedented mobility and operational flexibility. The DR 7500 system offers outstanding flexibility with single- and dual-detector configurations, wall stand and table options and an optional long-length imaging system; and the DR 3500 System delivers the small footprint, functionality and convenience required by a broad range of healthcare facilities.

KODAK DIRECTVIEW Classic and Elite CR Systems are compact, single-cassette systems that deliver exceptional versatility and eliminate the need for additional units by supporting general radiography, long-length, dental and mammography exams (in countries where approved for mammography applications).
