JUNE 10, 2008

ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 10 — Carestream Health, Inc., announced that its PACS platform had received its highest marks ever in a user satisfaction study conducted during the first quarter of 2008 by MD Buyline, an independent U.S. healthcare market research firm.

As part of the detailed evaluation conducted by members of the MD Buyline network, users rate system performance, reliability, installation/implementation, applications training, integration, service and support and product flexibility. Carestream Health earned its highest ratings in the areas of product flexibility, integration and service and support.

MD Buyline’s user comments about the CARESTREAM PACS include: “virtual desktop has excellent thin-client approach,” “ability to integrate into older RIS systems in unbelievable,” and “web-based product is unmatched in the industry.” Users also said that Carestream Health’s PACS offers a “flexible system for PACS administrators to customize and create new rules” and that the company offers “consistent new enhancements and updates” as well as advanced applications (3D, MPR, VR).

The CARESTREAM PACS offers a web-based, thin-client architecture that equips users to access the preferences and tools they need for diagnostic and clinical reading anywhere, anytime. The platform leverages native 3-D to provide rapid evaluation of complex cases without the need for a separate 3-D workstation, while other advanced applications enable cardiology exam review, orthopaedic surgical planning, mammography evaluation, and real-time 3-D virtual colonoscopy.

The PACS platform can be customized to leverage existing infrastructures and integrate with modalities and hospital information systems such as HIS, RIS and EMR.
