Grants and Charitable Contributions

At Carestream the work we do matters, and we are committed to doing our part to make the world a better place.

We proudly support Grants and charitable contributions for:

  • Causes and organizations focused on ending hunger, achieving food security improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture in the communities we work and live in, in support of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goal, Zero Hunger.
  • Our communities through natural disasters.
  • To further the development on the healthcare and radiology fields, we support:
    • The education of students or professionals involved in diagnostic imaging and nondestructive testing; or
    • Healthcare research

Carestream is committed to ensuring all Charitable Contributions, Educational Grants, and Independent Research Grants comply with applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws. All requests are reviewed by Carestream’s Corporate Grants and Charitable Contributions Committee which has exclusive and independent approval authority over all charitable and grant requests, following a compliance review, to ensure no conflicts of interest are present and requests are accurately represented. 

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

Requesting organizations must be a 501(c)(3) or other non-profit designation.

Charitable contributions are not permitted for:

  • Non-charitable purposes;
  • Raffles, courtesy advertising, or trips;
  • Charitable fundraising primarily involving a social event, such as athletic events (golf tournaments, softball games, bicycle rides, runs and walks), cocktail parties, galas, and auctions;
  • Consulting or other services or goods provided to Carestream; or
  • Carestream promotional activities or events (booth space or advertising).
EDUCATIONAL GRANTS

Applicants for Educational Grants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • The applicant is an individual or entity qualified to engage in and/or fund the proposed educational activities, such as an academic institution, medical or professional association, medical education company, community health center, conference organizer, patient association or advocacy group.
  • The applicant certifies and provides documentation evidencing that the educational program for which they seek funding is accredited by The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the American Medical Association (AMA), other relevant independent educational standards organization, or applicant is otherwise deemed by the Committee qualified to perform the proposed educational activity.

Educational Grants may not be used to pay for:

  • Expenses of family or friends or other associates of educational conference attendees or faculty members;
  • Consulting or other services or goods provided to Carestream;
  • HCP’s or other conference speakers selected by Carestream; or 
  • Advertising or other commercial opportunities (displays, booth space).
INDEPENDENT RESEARCH GRANTS

The applicant must be a bona fide researcher qualified to perform the proposed research in a timely, competent and lawful manner.
Independent Research Grants shall not be used to pay for:

  • Company-initiated or directed research; or
  • Consulting or other services or goods provided to Carestream.
