Carestream’s new extremity system is intended for use at urgent care facilities and clinics, athletic training facilities, and orthopaedists’ and other specialty practice offices.

Under the agreement, CNTouch will design, develop, fabricate and test the application targets at its facilities. The agreement stipulates that Carestream will have the rights to market any or all of the application targets developed through the program.

The Web-based Vue Cardio PACS is integrated with a CARESTREAM Vue PACS so both systems can use the same interface to the hospital information system (HIS) and also share the vendor-neutral CARESTREAM Vue Archive.

USNS Mercy is the lead ship in her class of hospital ships operated by the U.S. Navy. The ship has 80 beds in its intensive care wards, 12 operating rooms and a total of 1,000 patient beds.

The 284-bed hospital purchased Carestream’s Vue PACS, Vue for Vendor Neutral Archive, zero footprint Vue Motion image viewer and MyVue patient portal.

Only seven months after the finalisation of the framework agreement, the project has already developed a strong momentum, with eight institutions, both public and private, already subscribing to different services.

The system’s modular components, including fully automated systems, have gained wide acceptance among radiology professionals in leading hospitals and clinics.

Carestream’s newly formed Customer Care Organization brings together all of the company’s field support, remote and platform teams that service equipment, software and healthcare IT systems.
