Carestream Health’s PACS Meets Interface Requirements For Veterans Affairs’ VistA Imaging System

Company’s PACS Now Available to VA Medical Centers Nationwide

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 10 — The CARESTREAM PACS from Carestream Health, Inc., is now on the list of approved PACS HL7 interfaces for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The CARESTREAM PACS passed the VA’s validation test and can be now marketed to VA healthcare facilities nationwide by Carestream Health sales representatives.

CARESTREAM PACS also complies with IHE profiles and with U.S. Federal government privacy, security and patient safety regulations. CARESTREAM PACS also conforms to VHA workflow requirements with VistA Imaging.

VistA Imaging is the VA’s medical and healthcare imaging system—an electronic medical record (EMR) system that includes clinical images, scanned documents, motion video and other non-text data. VistA Imaging stores approximately one pedabyte (1 million gigabytes) of data.
