DMCI is a fast growing, UK-based firm that provides remote tele-radiology reporting services for the NHS and independent healthcare providers. Its team of more than 50 radiologists provide sub-specialty radiologist reporting services throughout the UK. The company has purchased a Carestream Vue Cloud service that will provide a reporting platform for radiologists, supported by modules for peer review, billing and business analytics.

The new platform, hosted by Carestream in its secure replicated ISO 27001 accredited data centres, will provide connectivity to DMC Imaging’s customers through the HSCN network and ensures DMCI is equipped with a solution that is scaled to accommodate its anticipated growth over the next five years. Carestream’s solution offers business continuity and disaster recovery by using synced primary and secondary data centres. The business analytics capabilities it incorporates will give DMCI a real-time view of how its business is performing. It also includes a fully integrated billing module for the company’s clients and radiologists.

Simon Maharg, managing director of DMCI, said: “We are thrilled to be using the Carestream Vue Cloud service. In keeping with our use of thin client technology, the Carestream system also brings with it considerable flexibility, security and efficiency: features which are vital to running a clinically robust and cost-effective remote tele-radiology service.”
