Carestream Advanced Materials to Present Insights into Future of Touch and Beyond at Display Week 2015

FLEXX Films are Enabling Next-Generation Touch Panel Designs

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 28 — Carestream Advanced Materials will share new developments in FLEXX Films and case studies for current touch applications June 2-4 at Display Week 2015 in San Jose, California. With FLEXX Films from Carestream, display designers can bring new ideas to life and create next-generation touch panels.

“Consumers want more from their devices—larger, lighter, flexible, borderless, superior optics and faster, multi-touch response,” said Paul Herro, general manager for Carestream Advanced Materials. “FLEXX transparent conductive films deliver what designers need to turn their ideas into next-generation innovations: lower sheet resistance, improved optical performance, extreme flexibility and better environmental stability.”

Michael Steward, Carestream’s director of product management, will present technical developments and applications for FLEXX Films  at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3 at the show’s Exhibitors’ Forum in executive ballroom 210. Steward’s presentation will reveal how FLEXX Films differ from Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), metal mesh and other silver nanowire transparent conductive films. Additionally, he will share FLEXX Films roadmap views and explain two recent commercial successes with Carestream’s silver nanowire films.

Display Week attendees will also have the opportunity to see a large 42-inch gaming device made with FLEXX Films in the company’s booth (#941). Carestream’s FLEXX Films have enabled South Korean touch panel designer Inotouch Technology Company to mass-produce large-format projected capacitive touch screens which are being deployed on a variety of gaming devices.
