Carestream Announces Additions to Company’s Senior Leadership Team

Barry Canipe Named Chief Financial Officer; Jianqing Y. Bennett Promoted To Vice President, Global Medical Sales & Services

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 4 — Carestream announced two additions to the company’s senior management team.

Barry Canipe, 44, will join Carestream on January 30, 2012, as Chief Financial Officer, reporting to CEO Kevin Hobert. Canipe will lead the company’s global finance organization and will be a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Canipe brings more than 22 years of financial expertise and experience to Carestream. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, American Standard Brands—a leading manufacturer of a wide range of high-quality kitchen and bath products—where he had responsibility for all aspects of finance and information technology, including treasury and tax. In this role he helped lead a turnaround, which resulted in significant earnings and cash flow improvement, by focusing on the company’s brand; revitalizing its product line; and managing multiple acquisitions.

Previously during a nearly 10-year career with Honeywell and Allied Signal, he served in finance and six sigma quality roles of increasing responsibility in the Automation & Controls and Specialty Materials sectors, and in corporate headquarters.

Canipe holds an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate Business School of the University of Virginia and a B.B.A. in Finance from James Madison University. Canipe’s strong skills and experience will be a great asset to Carestream as it continues to expand and grow.

Canipe and his family are in the process of relocating from Chester, N.J., to the Rochester area.

Company Names Jianqing Y. Bennett Vice President, Global Medical Sales & Services
Carestream also announced that Jianqing Bennett, 42, previously General Manager, Computed Radiography and X-ray Systems at Carestream, has been appointed Vice President, Global Medical Sales & Services, effective January 1, 2012.

Reporting to Diana L. Nole, President, Medical Digital Business, and Marco Bucci, President, Medical Film Business, she will be responsible for leading the sales and service of the company’s broad portfolio of medical imaging and IT solutions.

With full responsibility for all field sales, sales operations and services teams, Bennett will lead Carestream’s efforts to exceed customers’ expectations and enable healthcare professionals to improve the quality and cost of care.

In her eight years with Carestream and previously Kodak, Bennett has led the company’s drive to a market-leading position in X-ray imaging. In her most recent role, Bennett led many significant initiatives ranging from launching the company’s flagship wireless DRX digital x-ray platform—which has achieved strong market penetration and outstanding customer satisfaction—to managing the successful integration of Quantum Medical Imaging’s business. Quantum was a privately-held manufacturer of high-quality digital and conventional X-ray systems used by hospitals, imaging centers and healthcare clinics that Carestream acquired in 2010.

Bennett also helped increase Carestream’s share of the computed radiography market by driving enhancements to the company’s DIRECTVIEW Vita CR System, an affordable, compact, tabletop imaging system designed specifically for small hospitals, clinics and specialty practices.

Earlier during her eight-year career with General Electric, Bennett held positions of increasing responsibility—in both the United States and at GE’s China operations—in sales, global eBusiness initiatives, clinical development and radiography product commercialization.

Bennett holds an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa, Henry B. Tippie School of Management, and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Fudan University School of Medical Sciences, Shanghai, China. Bennett’s broad experience and track record of success will enhance Carestream’s efforts to further improve its customers’ experience and grow its business.

Like Canipe, Bennett is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, and she will continue to be based at the company’s worldwide headquarters in Rochester.

Bennett and her family reside in Mendon, N.Y.
