An interoperable, standards-based clinical data ecosystem

INTEROPERABLE ACROSS DEPARTMENTS

Enable your departmental systems to contribute to a complete clinical view of each patient, without disrupting departmental workflows.

ADAPTABLE TO YOUR COMPLETE ECOSYSTEM

The Clinical Collaboration Platform supports departments with or without existing PACS and using DICOM or non-DICOM interfaces.

OPTIMIZED FOR CLINICAL DATA FORMATS

The Clinical Collaboration Platform works with clinical data in all major formats, including JPG, MOV, MP4, PDF, CCD and ECG. Even from mobile devices.

COMPLETE, PATIENT-CENTERED DATA

Images and data generated across different departmental systems are captured in unified records that provide insight into each patient’s complete clinical history, directly accessible within their electronic medical records.

BACKWARD AND FORWARD COMPATIBLE

Standards-based data capture and ingestion works with legacy modalities while supporting vendor-neutral change and growth.

How we do it

  • The Clinical Collaboration Platform accepts data in JPG, MOV, MP4, PDF, CCD and ECG formats.

  • Standards-based protocols such as IHE, HL7, DICOM, FHIR and web services provide support for existing and future systems.

  • Integration with DICOM and non-DICOM interfaces eliminates barriers to capturing clinical data wherever it’s generated and sharing it wherever it’s needed.

MULTIPLE DATA SOURCES.
ONE CLINICAL RECORD.

Modules and services

Mobile Capture

Capture content wherever the clinical setting takes you using web-enabled mobile devices, with context-awareness to facilitate simple upload.

Order Entry

Web-based interface accepts requests for reports or workflows from various departments, either prior to or after the acquisition and storage of clinical data.

Frame Grabber

Capture digital video content such as modalities from endoscopy or surgery.

Frequently asked questions

Can you handle non-DICOM format images?

The Clinical Collaboration Platform can ingest, manage and archive non-DICOM format data. Tag morphing is used to ensure proper display of protocols and comparisons without regard to the format limitations of ancillary systems such as departmental PACS.

I already have an electronic medical records system that can associate scanned documents with the patient record. Do I still need the Clinical Collaboration Platform?

It depends. Not every EMR system can capture, index and manage clinical data such as large image datasets. The Clinical Collaboration Platform complements your Enterprise Content Management and EMR systems to ensure you have a complete clinical record for each patient, with all images and data accessible and contextualized according to the needs of each EMR system user.

How is this different from enterprise content management solutions?

Traditional content management systems are designed to manage smaller data sets and general-purpose file formats such as TXT and PDF files. Carestream’s expertise is in managing large data sets and complex workflows specifically for those who provide, manage, receive and reimburse care. Because we specialize in managing clinical data, we can also offer healthcare-specific tools for patient engagement, analytics, quality reporting and more.
